(For Danish ⇣) 🇺🇸 Using the SG Pulse fro (For Danish ⇣) 🇺🇸 Using the SG Pulse from Shooters Global during the Extreme Shot Italia IV competition certainly gave a lot of information both during and after the shooting. We received the electronic level a few days before the competition, so the shot sensitivity is a little bit off, that’s why there is a high count. I hit target 2 three times in a row at 1520 meters, and among other things, the SG Pulse shows the rifle movement just before and after breaking the shot, and when I was reloading. It also tells if I’m canting the rifle and at what angle the barrel is. Next time we will record in landscape format and place the camera on the side, so we can see the trigger work. The SG Pulse is an awesome piece of equipment, helping the serious long distance shooter. 🇩🇰 Vi brugte SG Pulse fra Shooters Global under Extreme Shot Italia IV konkurrencen, og det gav helt sikkert en masse information både under og efter skydningen. Vi modtog det elektroniske vaterpas et par dage før konkurrencen, så skudfølsomheden er en lille smule off, derfor er der et højt tal. Jeg ramte mål 2 tre gange i træk på 1520 meter, og SG Pulse viser blandt andet riffelbevægelsen lige før og efter aftrækket, samt når jeg genlader. Den fortæller også, om jeg kæntrer riflrn og i hvilken vinkel løbet er. Næste gang vil vi optage i horisontal format og placere kameraet på siden, så vi kan se fingeren på aftrækkeren. 🇺🇸 Second and last qualification day is now 🇺🇸 Second and last qualification day is now over and they are lining up for the finals tomorrow, where only the top 20 are competing. It has been a good day. WOW what a mental boost the last days have been. I am absolutely blown away. If you have been following my feed, you might have seen the crazy emotional roller coaster, and also see how I have been doing in the competition. Yesterday, after the 1st qualification round was over, I was no 39 - just below the best half. Today I was shooting 2nd qualification. I was more calm, more relaxed. I knew the drill, I had tried it before, I knew a lot of the people around me. I only had to prove myself to me! Still my puls reached 145 bpm for a while 🤪 But I had time to set everything up, and I didn’t stress. Found the targets in the scope, and got ready. Distances today: 1396 m / 0.87 mi - 🔴🔴🔴🟢🔴 1487 m / 0.92 mi - 🔴🟢🟢🟢🔴 1647 m / 1.02 mi - 🔴🔴🔴🔴🟢 After 2nd qualification round I am no 32 out of 73 shooters - and I am DAMNED PROUD ⭐️ The danes did well in general 💪🏼 Maybe next year, they will remember to put up the danish flag 🇩🇰 We were only 4 women in the competition - and seeing more women would be great! Ladies, this is f*ing awesome and very addictive, so watch out! Just jump in to it, heads first, it’s so much fun! For me, it makes all of my internal energy zoom in, laser sharp, to create an awesome focus and being able to live out my inner adult tomboy! 🔫 When I came to the training days before the competition, I was feeling good, but also feeling REAL new to everything. Very vulnerable in a whole new world. Now - 2 days later - I am very humbled, very grateful and content, and with a lot of new, great contacts - and even new friends - in this very small community. I am SO happy - and so very tired! 🇺🇸 Okay - now that I have collected myself a 🇺🇸 Okay - now that I have collected myself a bit, let’s try again 🤣 And you’ll get a bit of my shooting story too 😉 I had a great day at Extreme Shot Italia IV, 500-2000m yesterday. It was quite windy when I was shooting. Up to 6,4 m/s and gusts up to 13 m/s. The wind calmed down shortly after my shooting 😆 I felt good! But I was so damned nervous! Missed too many targets! Only got in 2 hits - but very important ones. 1st shot at 810 m and 1st shot at 1340 m. That counts pretty good. After the first day, 62 shooters finished 1st round (10 will shoot today) - and I’m still in the best half, but that can change fast and who knows how qualification round 2 will go 🤷🏼‍♀️ My goal was to just… not end up last! But I have a very competitive mind and I tend to be pretty hard on myself. During the training sessions it went really well, so I silently changed the goal… to end up better than the last 1/3… but I really want to be among the best 50% 🤪 Facts 👇🏼 It’s our very first ELR (even LR) competition. Our plan/mission with this competition has been to shoot with a standard rifle, not one build for ELR. And see where it would take us. Took my hunting licence in 2017 in Denmark. I have been hunting a lot 2017-2021 (mostly rifle). I have not been shooting anything further than 600 m until 1 month ago… No training at a shooting range from DEC.2021-AUG.2024! We moved to Sicily January 2022. We spent 2 years getting our licences to buy weapons here! We got this rifle 2 1/2 month ago and started to get to know it. We were then told only 1 shooter per rifle! The choise was easy, I’m the best shooter - Claus is the best spotter and has the better brain for all the calculations ❤️ First time shooting it was August 24th! Zeroed it in, getting ready for more. Trained 4 times at Enna Shooters Club - up to 1000 meters. I’m here! I hit all targets on the training days. I should be proud of myself 😂 I am - very much so! But I always want more, always want to challenge myself, always want to grow, learn, and get better. So when I start to whine in here… it’s just because I know I can do better… I always want to do better 💪🏼 #elr

Haven’t hit this bad since we came here - but honestly, who am I to complain? It’s our first competition! I have hardly practiced, since I didn’t have a gun here! Been training for 2 month - about 6 times in total. For 2 month ago I never shot further than 600 m. I should be proud - I’m trying 😅 But I’m so damn competitive, having such high expectations for myself and being .damn hard on myself. But I’m proud of even being here and having hit quite well the last couple of days. Let’s see Saturday when it’s 2nd qualification round ☺️ Now: a glass of white wine and a nap 🤣 🇩🇰 Færdig for i dag. 🇺🇸 First training session at Extreme Shot It 🇺🇸 First training session at Extreme Shot Italy IV at 8am this morning. Wind was crazy!! About 22 mph, gust up to 33 mph 💨 and changing directions constantly, probably because we are shooting across a valley. Shooting distances for practice: 0.52 mi, 0.68 mi, 0.87 mi and 0.96 mi. We could have decided not to shoot, that it would be a waste of ammunition, giving in to the wind… But everything is training, so we gave it a shot!! I’m glad I did! Despite the of crazy wind, I hit all targets but one (0.87 mi). This is the longest distance I’ve shot so far, and with the wind… I’m proud of myself - and there’s no shame in that. But without Claus as my spotter, this would never have happened 🤣❤️ Let’s see what tomorrow brings - I’m all optimistic and positive 🙌🏼 🇩🇰 Første træningsskydning i dag kl. 8.00 (vi kørte hjemmefra kl 3.45 🥴). Vinden var sindssyg! Omkring 10 meter per sekund, vindstød op to 15 meters per sekund. Vinden ændrede konstant retning, sikkert fordi vi skød på tværs af en dal. Afstande til træning: 832 m, 1093 m, 1406 m og 1540 m. Vi kunne have besluttet ikke at skyde, at det ville være “spild af ammunitionen”, have givet efter for vinden. Men alt er træning, så hvorfor ikke? Jeg er glad for beslutningen! Til trods for den vanvittige vind ramte jeg alle 4 mål pånær et (1406 m). Det er den længste distance, jeg har skudt til dato, og med den vind, er jeg stolt af mig selv (og det må man gerne være)! It helps ensure that my rifle is perfectly vertically aligned, eliminating horizontal drift of my shots. It also provides instant electronical feedback on how my stability behind the rifle is before, during and after the shots. It recorda everything on video, so I have a chance to rewatch my shots and work on my technique. I definitely like it! 🤩 Shooting distance in video: 900 meters I går var første gang, jeg testede SG Pulse fra Shooters Global 🟥🟩🟦 Den er nem at bruge, så enkel, så nyttig! We had some wind, which was good training for the next week’s competition. Claus is an amazing spotter… he knows me and calculates everything for me 🫶🏼 (but he forgot my shooting mat 🤣) We will have training time at the shooting range in Trapani - luckily - and also at longer distances. I am so exited to be challenged during the next week. Tuesday morning we have our first practice at Trapani! 🇺🇸 This Saturday we drove to Enna Shooters C 🇺🇸 This Saturday we drove to Enna Shooters Club. We already feel kind of at home here now and can just focus on doing what we need to do - train! Cause in a good weeks time… it’s competition time! We had planned how we would work us through the targets, trying to keep as close as possible to how the competition will be (without knowing for sure). The targets needs to be found out there first, so it took us a bit of extra time in the first round. 1 “cold bore” shot at 600 meters = impact! ✅ 3 shots more at 600 meters, 3 at 700, 3 at 800, 3 at 900 and 3 at 1000 meters. I wasn’t all happy about it afterwards, and I spent way too much time on the shooting. Letting the barrel cool down, we got into some rifle talking with 3 guys from Malta, who were there for the weekend. Back to the shooting. All over again. More aware of the targets this time, totally aware of the available time to do my 16 shots at 5 different targets… 12 minutes. Happy with myself after the second shooting! Only missed 2 hits (first shot at 800 m and first shot at 1000 m) - all other targets had IMPACT and done in 9.23 🙌🏼 I was very content! I’m getting real exited for our first ever LR - Long Range shooting competition - (which will in fact be an ELR - Extreme Long Range shooting competition 😆) Do you know that you can follow the competition online? 🇺🇸 So… this Saturday was our second trip t 🇺🇸 So… this Saturday was our second trip to Enna Shooters Club. We have been so well received, and that makes it so much easier to relax and just enjoy the shooting. I started out with a “cold bore” shot at 600 meters = impact! ✅ Then we looked for the 1000 meters plate, which we couldn’t find the last time. 1st shot was juuust a bit too high, 2nd shot juuust a bit low, and the 3rd shot = impact ✅ After that, we just had some fun at 900, 800 and 700 meters (😆). I think it’s important to stop, when you are doing good - not continuing and maybe end out with some bad shots. I would leave with a feeling of not being a success. I have not been training at these distances before. The longest I have shot and trained is 600 meters, and that is some years ago, at a Zeiss Field Shooting weekend in Denmark (my home country) in 2019! This is all new to me! I have no fancy setup on the rifle, which we by the way just got late July 🤣 (it hasn’t been a walk in the park getting our weapons license in Sicily, I tell you! It has taken 2 years, but when we finally succeeded… 🥂🍾) The Extreme Shot Italia 500-2000 m will be a crazy challenge! 🇺🇸 Another warm afternoon at the shooting ra 🇺🇸 Another warm afternoon at the shooting range. Saturday we headed out there again and the thermometer was at around 36C in the shade, when I drove off 🥵 I’m beginning to feel more connected to the Ruger Precision Rifle. It’s really a nice rifle and I’m having so much fun training with it. The scope is of course from Vortex and as always amazing. Claus made some different targets, that simulated the different distances and sizing of the targets. We are still working out the most optimal load for the competition and I think we are getting there. Extreme Shot Italia is only weeks away and I feel good about the fact, that we will soon participate in our first ever ELR. We will have a pretty low key setup - we are no pro shooters. But we want to prove to ourself and others, that anybody can do this, if they are willing to train hard - put in a lot of training hours, and find a whole lot of willpower 💪🏼 What do you think? 🇩🇰 Endnu en varm eftermiddag på skydebanen. Lørdag kørte vi afsted igen - og termometeret sagde 36C i skyggen, inden jeg kørte. Jeg begynder at føle mig mere forbundet med min Ruger Precision Rifle. Den er totalt fed og jeg nyder virkelig at træne med den. Optikken er selvfølgelig fra Vortex og er som altid fantastisk. Claus havde lavet forskellige mål, som simulerede de forskellige distancer og størrelse på målene. Vi arbejder stadig med at finde det mest optimale load til konkurrencen, men jeg tror, vi er ved at være der. Extreme Shot Italia er kun nogle uger væk, og jeg føler mig ret godt tilpas med, at vi skal deltage i vores første ELR nogensinde. Me and my awesome spotter (and tech nerd) husband 😍 I haven’t been given the competiton many thoughts until now, because I didn’t know if I would actually have the rifle in my hands, ready to train and to participate. Men NU!! Min riffel er her og træningen er startet. Jeg er ikke pro-skytte, men det behøver man heller ikke være for at deltage.
